Leo is one of the twelve Zodiac Stones. Leo's are the Chinese zodiac Monkey. It is perhaps the catalyst for a
major part of the storyline of Final Fantasy Tactics, as the Lucavi Hashmal, second in command under Altima, dwells within. Through circumstances unknown, the Leo Stone possesses prominent Templar Knights member Vormav Tingel and embarks on a quest to r
estore Altima to power. Throughout the game, Vormav collects and disperses other Zodiac Stones to suitable hosts in an attempt to revive the Lucavi's power. After Ramza Beoulve collects eleven of the stones and corners Vormav in the Graveyard of Airships, the Leo Stone morphs the knight into Hashmal in a last bid to keep its mission alive.
Leo does have an entry in the game's Artefacts section, but because it is obtained past the point of no returnthe player can never view it without the help of a cheating program.
Leo is also a zodiac sign used to determine damage compatibility between characters during battle. Leo has optimal compatibility with Aquarius, sometimes compatibility with Sagittarius and Aries, and bad compatibility with Taurus and Scorpio.
